Look for a house
It
is quite an expedition to move abroad. Not only, do you have to fulfill
the necessary formalities, you also need to organize accommodation
Find a house
It is not difficult to find a house in Belgium. However, depending on the area, prices may vary enormously.
- A temporary residence:
If you're only here for a short while, you can opt to stay at a hotel. Since hotels are fairly expensive, youth hostels and Bed & Breakfasts are an interesting alternative. In university cities you can often rent student rooms in summer. Sometimes your employer pays your accommodation for a few weeks which enables you to look for a permanent residence in the meantime. - Rent or buy a house:
Do you prefer to rent a house or apartment, check the black and orange 'Te huur' (for rent) or 'Te koop' (for sale) signs in the windows. Of course you can also look through the paper ads or drop by at a real estate agency.
If you prefer to start your search on the internet, here are a few useful starting points:- http://www.immoweb.be
