Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will deliver robust and compliant electrical and software process improvements and support or lead multiple engineering projects throughout the Joris Ide division.
He reports hierarchically to the Maintenance Manager of the site this is allocated to.Functional reporting is to the Group senior controls Engineer.

What you do

Main objectives

  • Support or Lead engineering projects at any manufacturing line
  • Support, initiate, deploy and sign off process improvement and efficiency improvement modifications to manufacturing systems at insulated panel lines and single skin lines
  • To carry out design and testing tasks on project proposals
  • Assist the local site engineering and production department with any major breakdowns or faults at short notice

Main responsibilities of the role

  • To carry out specific engineering tasks delegated to him by the Group senior controls Engineer as appropriate
  • Provide software/electrical engineering discipline input into divisional project/design teams executing specific projects on site
  • Produce electrical engineering design and project support deliverables in line with Kingspan engineering standards
  • Recommend and support value added improvement initiatives where appropriate
  • To work closely with Production, Quality, Safety and other Controls team members to ensure that plant priorities are met.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Controls department and take a pro-active approach contributing to the meetings from an engineering perspective
  • Attend training to develop relevant self-knowledge and technical skills
  • To support the local sites manufacturing process by being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults
  • In case of modifications on machinery, assure the correct safety performance level of the installation according to the CE machinery regulations.
Who you are
  • Profound knowledge of Siemens TIA, with of focus on PLC and motion
  • Understanding of communication protocols via SCADA, SQL, AWS and SAP-databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL.AWS experience is a plus
  • Prepared to travel 50% of the time within Europe to internal companies

      As a product manager you are responsible for the commercial success of your product category-Façades, ensuring a sustainable growth in both volume and profitability within the Belgian and profitability within the Belgian and Luxemburg market.

      What you do

        Joris Ide NV is looking for a IT Infrastructure Team Lead to manage the existing IT Infrastructure Team responsible for the end-to-end design, management and support of hardware and software in a Pan-European context.

        The IT Infrastructure Team Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security and performance of our IT systems & Infrastructure.

        You will report to the Head of IT Infrastructure.

        What you do
        • Lead & supervise a team of IT professionals located in Belgium, France and Romania.
        • Plan, prioritize and delegate tasks and projects, ensuring alignment with objectives & timelines.
        • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, focusing on a collaboration & performance driven environment.
        • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team.
        • Collaborate with other IT Teams & internal departments to ensure a seamless integration & interoperability of systems & infrastructure.
        • Develop & maintain policies, procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements & best practices.
        • Lead & participate in the design, implementation & maintenance of IT infrastructure (projects), mainly upgrades, migrations and mergers & acquisitions.
        • Perform performance evaluations, provide feedback & ensure that training & developments goals are met.
        • Establish and maintain KPI’s, SLA’s and other quality metrics.
        • Stay informed on technologies, trends & best practices around IT Infrastructure, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
