Je takenpakket in een notendop:

- Automatisatie – retrofit projecten helpen realiseren samen met de klant en met een maximaal veiligheidstechnisch resultaat voor het bedrijf;

- Je bent de aanspreekpartner op vlak van functionele veiligheid binnen de groep;

- Opvolging van projecten op veiligheidstechnisch vlak (gebruikte materialen, correcte uitvoering);

- Oplossingen zoeken voor veiligheidsproblemen die zich kunnen stellen binnen een project en dit op verschillende domeinen (elektriciteit, mechanica, pneumatiek, hydraulica, …);

- Opmaken en aanvullen van projectdossiers volgens de gangbare procedures.

- Opmaken van risico-inventarisatie en risico-evaluatie volgens de EN ISO 1210;

- Bij veiligheidstechnische problemen de noodzakelijke meetings organiseren in overleg met de project engineer;

- Waar nodig collega’s opleiden en voortdurend bijscholing volgen;

- Opstellen van gebruiksaanwijzing van gerealiseerde projecten;

- Je zal je af en toe ook naar het buitenland verplaatsen.

The Controls Engineer will deliver robust and compliant electrical and software process improvements and support or lead multiple engineering projects throughout the Joris Ide division.
He reports hierarchically to the Maintenance Manager of the site this is allocated to.Functional reporting is to the Group senior controls Engineer.

What you do

Main objectives

• Support or Lead engineering projects at any manufacturing line
• Support, initiate, deploy and sign off process improvement and efficiency improvement modifications to manufacturing systems at insulated panel lines and single skin lines
• To carry out design and testing tasks on project proposals
• Assist the local site engineering and production department with any major breakdowns or faults at short notice

Main responsibilities of the role

• To carry out specific engineering tasks delegated to him by the Group senior controls Engineer as appropriate
• Provide software/electrical engineering discipline input into divisional project/design teams executing specific projects on site
• Produce electrical engineering design and project support deliverables in line with Kingspan engineering standards
• Recommend and support value added improvement initiatives where appropriate
• To work closely with Production, Quality, Safety and other Controls team members to ensure that plant priorities are met.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the Controls department and take a pro-active approach contributing to the meetings from an engineering perspective
• Attend training to develop relevant self-knowledge and technical skills
• To support the local sites manufacturing process by being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults
• In case of modifications on machinery, assure the correct safety performance level of the installation according to the CE machinery regulations.
