With a view to expanding its missions and activities, Bel V is looking for nuclear engineer(s) (HFX) to join its teams of inspectors, project leaders or engineering experts.

- As inspector:

  • Carrying out specific inspections/controls at nuclear facilities to form an idea of the licensee's ability to ensure a sufficiently high level of nuclear safety and radiation protection at his facilities.
    • Contribute to specific technical files (including analysis and evaluation of safety issues identified during inspections).
    • Research, consolidation and communication of the developed opinions to the representatives of the relevant plant.

OR

- As project manager :

  • Organise and follow up the independent safety evaluation by Bel V of the licensee's project, based on the documents provided, knowledge of the installations, experience, verifications and controls.
  • Be the contact person for Bel V to explain and support our views to the licensee, the FANC and other stakeholders.
    • Prepare the organisation of the project and evaluate and adjust Bel V's resources.
    • Deliver planned deliverables to the FANC in line with the agreed schedule and expectations.
    • Participate in technical and progress meetings, including preparing meeting minutes.
    • In cooperation with the FANC, be responsible for communication with the licensee.

OR

- As technical expert engineer in your specific field(s),

  • Conduct safety analyses in your area(s) of expertise.
  • Conduct the independent review of safety analyses conducted by colleagues.
  • Maintain documentation justifying safety positions taken and assist in updating technical documentation.
  • Contribute to determining safety positions.
  • Master existing and new regulations and practices in your field(s) of expertise.
  • Upon request, represent Bel V in international working groups and programmes, or for international activities.

Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will deliver robust and compliant electrical and software process improvements and support or lead multiple engineering projects throughout the Joris Ide division.
He reports hierarchically to the Maintenance Manager of the site this is allocated to.Functional reporting is to the Group senior controls Engineer.

What you do

Main objectives

  • Support or Lead engineering projects at any manufacturing line
  • Support, initiate, deploy and sign off process improvement and efficiency improvement modifications to manufacturing systems at insulated panel lines and single skin lines
  • To carry out design and testing tasks on project proposals
  • Assist the local site engineering and production department with any major breakdowns or faults at short notice

Main responsibilities of the role

  • To carry out specific engineering tasks delegated to him by the Group senior controls Engineer as appropriate
  • Provide software/electrical engineering discipline input into divisional project/design teams executing specific projects on site
  • Produce electrical engineering design and project support deliverables in line with Kingspan engineering standards
  • Recommend and support value added improvement initiatives where appropriate
  • To work closely with Production, Quality, Safety and other Controls team members to ensure that plant priorities are met.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Controls department and take a pro-active approach contributing to the meetings from an engineering perspective
  • Attend training to develop relevant self-knowledge and technical skills
  • To support the local sites manufacturing process by being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults
  • In case of modifications on machinery, assure the correct safety performance level of the installation according to the CE machinery regulations.
Who you are
  • Profound knowledge of Siemens TIA, with of focus on PLC and motion
  • Understanding of communication protocols via SCADA, SQL, AWS and SAP-databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL.AWS experience is a plus
  • Prepared to travel 50% of the time within Europe to internal companies

      • Ensure that the necessary recommendations on the choice of technical solutions and preferred suppliers are generated and approved by the overall Electrical Package and EPCI Manager in a timely matter
      • Obtain the approval of the Electrical Package Manager of any resolution of any commercial, contractual or legal matter or issue under the substation Supply and Installation Contract
      • Proactively identify and take ownership of risks and mitigate consequences of these
      • Execute actions in a timely manner
      • Maintain a good and strong relationship between the EPCI contractor and the different Stakeholders.

      Flexibility (in both directions) will be a large part of your function.Primarily you will be based in our offices in Leuven.You will have the opportunity to perform offshore visits and occasionally you will have to travel, both in Europe and overseas.
