What you'll do

  • Gather requirements and insights through workshops, interviews, and analysis.
  • Map processes in BPMN and recommend improvements together with our strategist.
  • Design intelligent solutions together with the development team.
  • Design, develop and maintain artifacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Consult, develop and implement metrics, automated reporting and process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Retrieve, aggregate and compile data from multiple sources into an actionable format to enable effective decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.

 

What you're good at

  • You are quick on your feet: you dive into documents and become an expert in the client's business in no time.
  • You have a notion of best practices around software development project methodologies: Agile, Scrum, waterfall, iterative, and others.
  • You have experience with analyzing IT technical activities, mapping out processes, and facilitating workshops and interviews.
  • You have a solid foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure components.
  • You have excellent communication skills: you can effortlessly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or English.Proficiency in French is a big plus.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Functional Analyst specializing in MS Dynamics 365 (HR/CRM), you will play a key role in understanding business needs, designing IT solutions, and supporting the successful delivery of projects.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Gathering:
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs.
    • Document and prioritize requirements.

Talen.Cia consulting is currently looking for a Digital Business Analyst for a renowned client based in Brussels.

Please note that this position has 60% of working on new functionalities and 40% of application support.

Tasks:

  • Compile business requirements, both functional and non-functional, for digital applications.
  • Determine and suggest ways to improve the business while using Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Conduct a functional examination of these specifications across the various application components.
  • Analysis of gaps.
  • Write User Stories or requirements based on the analysis; these will serve as the foundation for further grooming and refinement sessions.
  • Support the creation and implementation of test cases.
  • Assure accurate and thorough request and analysis documentation.
  • Ensure that the decisions made have business support.
  • Communication with senior IT technical designers, product owners, project managers, and IT architects.
  • Ensure that the prerequisites (designs, acceptance criteria, etc.) are delivered on schedule in order to ensure a successful sprint delivery.
  • Question the time and financial estimates that the implementation partners have provided.
  • Attend to user requirements, action items, meeting minutes, and project deliverables.
  • Make sure that we work well together with our outside partners for digital application development.

     

Application Support (40%):

  • Guarantee and enhance the stability of the applications by spearheading and monitoring pertinent measures to achieve stability enhancements, such as consistent communication with technical teams (security, architecture, infrastructure, etc.), tracking issues, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • To serve as the primary point of contact for all ongoing requests for assistance and to coordinate with the relevant teams.Work closely in tandem
  • Business User/Owner Application Support: For assigned apps, provide the fundamental analysis necessary to enable second and third tier application support.
  • Support the resolution of functional and technical problems in accordance with a specified severity and prioritization strategy.
  • Keep an eye on the production data integration procedures to make sure the necessary availability.
  • Upkeep of the knowledge repository.
  • During implementations, some flexibility in working hours is necessary.

What the key tasks will look like

As an AS400 Developer/Analyst, you will develop new and maintain/adapt/improve existing IT applications on the business's demand by programming independently in a stipulated programming language, supporting projects, and collaborating in a team.

Contribute to and validate the functional analysis and specification of requests for IT developments:

  • Realize IT projects according to approved functional specifications and within the approved budget and planning.Conduct code reviews and follow-up release management.
  • Develop new programs or adapt existing programs in respect of the existing standards.
  • Test new developments before submitting them to the key-user for user testing
  • Document his/her realizations.

Maintain and improve existing IT applications:

  • Handle all incoming requests related to the applications you're responsible for (Tickets).
  • Correct bugs in the applications you're responsible for.

  • Realize approved improvements.
  • Maintain user and technical documentation.

Support business users in the usage of the existing IT applications:

  • Define the required availability levels and response times with the business owners.

  • Measure and report the achieved availability levels and response times.
  • Assist users in the improved usage of the existing applications.

General:

  • Propose improvements in the existing applications so as to reduce their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Collaborate in a constructive way with colleagues in IT and in the business so as to realize the mission of DKV IT.
  • Timely report on the status and the progress of his/her assignments.
  • Actively contribute to the team meetings and to the community meetings.
