About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a dynamic and collaborative team within an exciting long-term project.This role offers the opportunity to work on a critical application used by 12 countries across Europe, with a focus on migrating and optimizing the data to the cloud.

You will take on the role of technical lead, guiding a team of juniors and medior-level data professionals while collaborating with Azure specialists and other teams to ensure best practices and data governance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of a Data Warehouse from an on-premises SQL Server to a cloud-based solution using Azure Databricks and Data Lake.
• Work with SAP Data Services to manage and optimize existing data flows, ensuring seamless integration with the data platform.
• Collaborate with Azure experts to align and implement best practices, standardize processes, and guide the team in platform optimization.
• Provide expertise in structuring and managing the Data Lake, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Participate in a 2-year project developing a cloud-based Data Warehouse for a large-scale logistics system.
• Address data segmentation challenges to ensure proper separation and management by country.
• Mentor and guide a team of data professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring project alignment.

 

Work closely with clients to understand their data management needs and provide expert advice on utilizing a data catalog to enhance data governance, compliance, and overall information management .Customize and configure Data Catalog solutions to create business impact for our clients .
