Functieomschrijving:

De Corporate Financial Controller zal ondersteunen met de consolidatie en de eraan gerelateerde IT -en accounting aspecten.Ook zal je een aantal Europese ondernemingen uit de portefeuille toegewezen krijgen met het doel de administratieve en financiële functies te coördineren en ondersteunen met de lokale finance leads.
Je rapporteert aan de Group Controller en komt terecht in een team van gedreven collega's.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

• Deelname aan maandelijkse en jaarlijkse geconsolideerde afsluitingen onder IFRS;
• Bijhouden van verschillen tussen lokale en IFRS-boekhoudkundige handleidingen;
• Voorbereiding van jaarrekeningen;
• Op de hoogte blijven van technische boekhoudkundige aspecten van IFRS;
• Organisatie van maandelijkse en jaarlijkse financiële afsluitingen van toegewezen entiteiten;
• Verantwoordelijk voor maandelijkse interne bedrijfsrapportage alsook analyse en interpretatie;
• Verdere ontwikkeling van KPI-rapportage (Power BI), inclusief analyses van prijs/volume/.;
• Voorbereiding van periodieke business reviews;
• Voorbereiding van bestuurs- en aandeelhoudersvergaderingen;
• Uitvoering van het jaarlijkse budgetproces en forecasts;
• Integratie van nieuwe bedrijven binnen de groep.

Description

As a Customer Service employee within the logistics and supply chain team, you will be responsible for a very varied range of tasks:

1) Customer Service part:

• Being the first point of contact for customers regarding questions and orders.
• Order tracking from A-Z and provide timely updates on order status.
• Develop and manage relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Liaise with various departments such as sales, logistics, planning and finance.
• Coordinate with our supplying factories in Singapore, Japan and America.

2) Logistics and Supply Chain:

• Provide forecast monitoring and demand planning.
• Monitor inventory levels.
• Report monthly forecast and sales revenues to the Sales team
• Ensure shipments are picked up on time from our supply companies and that transportation runs smoothly.

Reporting directly to the Group Controller, you will lead efforts in external regulatory filings with Belgian and US financial market regulators (including quarterly press releases, half-year reporting and annual reporting).

Additionally, you will oversee technical accounting activities related to complex and non-recurring transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.Your responsibilities will also include executing, documenting, and updating internal controls associated with the reporting process and serving as a key liaison with external auditors.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Lead all external regulatory filings with Belgian and US financial market regulators, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
• Oversee technical accounting efforts, providing guidance on complex transactions and maintaining adherence to accounting standards.
• Execute, document, and update internal controls associated with the reporting process to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, facilitating financial audit and CSRD audit processes and addressing any audit-related inquiries.
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including Investor Relations, Legal, Business Development and other stakeholders, to support reporting activities and address any reporting-related issues.
• Play a critical role in the further build-out of external reporting capabilities and the automation of reporting processes, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to organizational growth and increasing complexity.
• Biotech experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Fluency in English and the ability to operate cross-functionally are essential.
