The Logistics Operations Manager will be:

* Selecting, managing and continuously coaching and developing employees in a goal- and results-oriented manner, including the identification of training needs.
* Ensuring the implementation and consistent application of process standards and forwarding improvement ideas to the LEAN and Quality departments.
* Taking the responsibility for achieving all overarching goals regarding quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in the area of responsibility.
* Managing the compliance - adherence to all financial and legal requirements, including social, environmental, occupational safety, and dangerous goods regulations and guidelines (external and internal).
* Preparing and taking the responsibility for the operational budget (costs, productivity, personnel, and damages).
* Preparing and negotiating contracts with service providers and sub-contractors to ensure competitive cost structures while providing superior service.
* Taking active participation in shaping and developing strategic structures (including personnel structure, system partner structure), taking into account the overarching quality, budget, and corporate strategy goals.
* Conducting regular development and feedback meetings with all direct reports, including setting and monitoring target agreements.
* Participating in departmental and cross-functional projects.Representing Operations in commercial discussions with customers and key accounts.
* Acting as back-up for the Group Director Operations in case of absence

In this role you will be reporting to the Group Director Operations (functional) and the Managing Director Belgium (disciplinary).

  • Als proactief lid van het Plant Management Team, adviseer en ondersteun je alle leidinggevenden en het management en garandeer je een consistente implementatie van ons HR beleid naar alle werknemers.
  • Vanuit jouw rol, werk je nauw samen met alle centrale diensten en de Centers of Expertise binnen HR : Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Payroll en Compensation & Benefits.Je coördineert en bewaakt samen met je centrale collega's alle processen en doelstellingen binnen jouw site m.b.t deze domeinen.
  • Je coördineert met de hiring managers het wervingsproces om blue collar medewerkers aan te trekken en te onboarden.
  • Je ondersteunt jouw leidinggevenden bij alle groei-initiatieven van medewerkers, o.a.via doordachte opleidingsplannen en via het detecteren en begeleiden van potentieel.
  • Je beheert het uitvoeren van de opleidingsplannen door het opstellen en onderhouden van het trainingsprogramma en de registratie via ons Learning Management Systeem.
  • Je zorgt voor een vlot overleg met de sociale partners.Je zorgt voor een goede connectie en communicatie met de werkvloer en faciliteert mee een cultuur van open feedback.
  • Je implementeert het absente smebeleid en voert verzuimgesprekken.
  • Verder sta je ook in voor bijsturings- en feedbackgesprekken, eventuele exitdossiers en employee engagement.

Je rapporteert aan de Plant Director Milling en je bent lid van onze Belgische HR community onder leiding van de HR Director Fresh & Milling.
