The Chapter Lead will play a crucial role in balancing technical expertise with people management.This position involves providing technical guidance, fostering personal and professional development, and ensuring collaboration and alignment within and across teams.The Chapter Lead will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality products that support business goals and enhance customer experience.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to Chapter members in a specific domain (e.g., software development, quality assurance etc).
  • Ensure best practices and high standards are maintained within the Chapter.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to provide relevant advice and direction.

People Management:

  • Focus on the personal and professional development of team members through mentoring, career development, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Organize optimal workforce planning to meet the needs of various Squads.

Facilitating Collaboration:

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Chapter.
  • Work with key business customers, stakeholders, and external partners to identify and address IT needs.
  • Interact with Project Managers, Product Owners, Architecture, Solution Design, Services Delivery, and Support teams to ensure quality product development.

Bridging Squads and Chapters:

  • Maintain coherence and alignment across different Squads, ensuring consistent technical and quality standards.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between Squads and Chapters.

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Participate in recruitment and staffing decisions to ensure the right skills are available within the Chapter.
  • Assess the span of control and adjust the Chapter structure as needed to maintain manageability.

Delivery:

  • Ensure end-to-end IT ownership for projects within the business area portfolio.
  • Engage with Project Managers to create, plan, track, and execute overall project plans.
  • Support the creation of business cases and contribute to project steering committees with clear roles and responsibilities.

Application Management:

  • Oversee application lifecycle management for all applications in the portfolio.
  • Advise on risk management, ensuring effective detection, reporting, and mitigation.
  • Support portfolio management and optimize capacity planning.

Financials:

  • Create and manage departmental budget proposals aligned with business strategy and priorities.
  • Hold financial accountability, including estimation, forecasting, and reporting on OPEX and CAPEX budget actuals.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.

What you'll do

  • Gather requirements and insights through workshops, interviews, and analysis.
  • Map processes in BPMN and recommend improvements together with our strategist.
  • Design intelligent solutions together with the development team.
  • Design, develop and maintain artifacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Consult, develop and implement metrics, automated reporting and process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Retrieve, aggregate and compile data from multiple sources into an actionable format to enable effective decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.

 

What you're good at

  • You are quick on your feet: you dive into documents and become an expert in the client's business in no time.
  • You have a notion of best practices around software development project methodologies: Agile, Scrum, waterfall, iterative, and others.
  • You have experience with analyzing IT technical activities, mapping out processes, and facilitating workshops and interviews.
  • You have a solid foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure components.
  • You have excellent communication skills: you can effortlessly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and/or English.Proficiency in French is a big plus.

Wat ga je doen?

In deze uitdagende rol als Business Development Manager ben je verantwoordelijk voor het actief en zelfstandig opbouwen van je klantenportefeuille, met name met verschillende productcombinaties in bestaande en nieuwe markten.

  • Je bouwt jouw netwerk uit en legt commerciële contacten met prospecten en klanten op het hoogste niveau.
  • Jouw focus is de uitbouw van partnerships op lange termijn.
  • Je detecteert niet alleen de behoeften van prospecten en klanten, maar overtuigt hen ook van innovatieve ideeën op vlak van Veiligheid.
  • Je volgt de tendensen in deze sector nauwgezet op.
  • Door jouw resultaatgedrevenheid schat je zeer goed in welke opportuniteiten de nodige return on investment opleveren.
  • Je hebt oog voor zowel quick wins als langetermijnsuccessen.
  • Je hebt affiniteit met industriële veiligheid.
  • Je weet boeiende content te creëren om deze via de juiste online kanalen te verspreiden.
  • Je hebt ervaring met online prospecteren.
Je rapporteert aan de Sales Manager en werkt nauw samen met je Total Safety collega’s op zowel service, technisch als operationeel gebied.

Door met dit multifunctioneel team samen te werken bij het analyseren van de diverse complexe veiligheidsvraagstukken bied je klanten ofwel de standaardoplossingen aan, dan wel meer tailormade oplossingen en borg je het gevoel, de drive en de passie voor Veiligheid bij de klant.

Je bent in deze rol verantwoordelijk voor het behalen van je vooropgestelde targets conform het afgesproken Sales Plan en de Account Plannen.Binnen deze kaders spreek je zelfstandig de commerciële voorwaarden af met je klanten.
