The Chemical certification associate is independently responsible for the complete certification process of the submitted products, assessing the conformity of the products within the applicable certification schemes.This is done in keeping with the Code of Conduct and maintaining full confidentiality of exchanged customer information

  • Support the Sales Manager for quotations, and validate them according to the signature rules
  • Define the adequate tests programs, if any (pre-assessment phase)
  • Plan, organize and structure the work from the assigned contracts
  • Carry out the assessment of the submitted products, according to the appropriate certification scheme, which means:
  • Analyse the test reports and all useful documents;
  • Write the certification report and its conclusions;
  • Draft the request for certification document, and the certificate itself
  • Submit the file to a second Conformity Assessment Manager not being involved in the assessment
  • Update Progress with the adequate information
  • Release report and certificates
  • Check the quality of the tasks performed (in the case of subcontracting to another CAM, for example) Perform the “4 eyes check” procedure for applications managed by other Conformity Assessment Managers
  • Avoid possible conflicts of interest in services and inform the BUM or GM in good time
  • Correct use of progress as to ensure the capturing of the full certification process until invoicingcertification

Database Manager

The database manager will be responsible for maintenance, data upload and data curation (clenasing) of our corporate database (Dotmatics) and, in collaboration with biology and chemist teams, the manager

will help to define the strategy, identify capabilities and develop solutions within the Dotmatics 

product suite that address current and future business needs.

The database manager responsibilities include:


  • Ensure proper operation of the corporate database and perform updates and upgrades in  collaboration with external service providers;
  • Register new chemical compounds (single or batch registration) and samples and assign  locations to all stock available compounds in our inventory manager in collaboration with the

compound manager;

  • Support biological data upload (protocols creations in studies and studies ultra©) for HTS and  dose response assays performed internally and externally;
  • Support the chemists and biologists for data reviewing purposes (design and implement  project based viewers in Browser©), data analysis (outliers identification) and data curation;
  • Take an active role in the development of our electronic notebooks (ELN) for chemists and  biologists;
  • Manage the contacts with the Dotmatics support team and act as the central point for any  requests sent to them;
  • Propose, develop and/or implement new solutions for data analysis, export and presentation;
  • Ensure proper data transfer (chemistry and biology) between CISTIM and external collaborators (academics and corporate);
  • Design ad hoc queries to retrieve, test and deliver data in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Establish and maintain workflow SOP’s

scientific stakeholders to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose.

Bachelor or Master in chemistry with a strong interest in informatics, bioinformatics or

computational science


  • Preferably minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Preferably, experience in using Dotmatics suite (Browser, studies, register, etc…), Knime and  other workflow tools
  • Preferably experience with Oracle SQL, HTML/javascript, python or other scripting languages
  • Preferably, experience as data analyst/curator
