We are looking for a Climate Risk Data Specialist to support the development of data-driven solutions that enable financial institutions to meet regulatory requirements and enhance their sustainability strategies.This role involves managing large-scale environmental data, ensuring compliance with evolving climate risk frameworks, and contributing to the design of robust reporting methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Infrastructure & Processing: Develop and optimize data pipelines to collect, store, and process climate risk and sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon emissions, geolocation data, ESG indicators).
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Reporting: Support financial institutions in aligning with climate-related regulations by providing expertise on data structuring, risk measurement, and disclosure requirements.
  • Business & Technical Alignment: Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support the implementation of climate risk data frameworks.
  • Governance & Quality Assurance: Implement best practices for data governance, reconciliation, and quality control, ensuring compliance with international standards such as BCBS 239.
  • Regulatory Analysis & Advisory: Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory frameworks, advising financial institutions on sustainable finance regulations and their impact on reporting practices.
  • Issue Resolution & Documentation: Investigate data inconsistencies, reconcile discrepancies across reporting systems, and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, definitions, and lineage.

Description

As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in the credit assessment and analysis of corporate clients, including the review of financial statements, industry reports, and market data
  • Conduct credit risk evaluations to provide support for lending decisions and ensure compliance with the bank's risk policies
  • Prepare and present comprehensive credit memos and recommendations to senior analysts and credit committees
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, such as relationship managers and risk management, to facilitate efficient loan approvals and portfolio management
  • Monitor the ongoing creditworthiness of existing clients, ensuring timely reviews and updates to credit files
  • Participate in the due diligence process for new and existing transactions

  • Manage and optimize the Credit department
  • Limit bad debt losses, maximize cash collection and reduce customer ageing
  • Manage the customer credit risk, credit limits and re-negotiate payment terms as required

Skills

  • Appropriate Finance diploma
  • Experience in Credit Management.
  • Sound knowledge of local legislation relating to credit management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Communication, organizational and listening skills
  • Ability to have a high level view and also focus on detail
  • Availability, thoroughness and honesty.
  • Ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine desire to excel in a Finance environment

Responsibilities:

Treasury & Financing Operations

  • Managing existing financing solutions and implementing new ones in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with bank agreements, fulfilling reporting obligations to lenders, and addressing ad-hoc requests promptly.
  • Maintaining and leveraging banking relationships to optimize the organization's financial services.
  • Implementing and managing a factoring facility and coordinating regular reporting (weekly/monthly) to financial institutions.

Liquidity & Cash Flow Management

  • Supervising cash management processes and ensuring accurate cash reporting.
  • Consolidating and presenting weekly cash flow forecasts for all entities to the board and management.
