Role

As the Portfolio Manager for Flexcity Belgium, you will:

  • Secure and optimise operationally and financially our portfolio of energy producing and consuming assets, through different grid services, while managing associated risks.

  • Support Flexcity's growth by supporting the sales and business development teams.

  • Keep a strong sense of collaboration and partnership within the portfolio team, and between the team and other departments of Flexcity.

Portfolio management is a crucial responsibility at Flexcity, as Portfolio Managers constantly valorise the current portfolio on the different markets as well as keep an important relationship with our customers.The responsibilities of the Portfolio Manager include:

  • Operations and project management - 50%

    • Managing the daily and yearly tenders of the network operators: determining the available capacity in the portfolio and the corresponding bidding strategy based on market information and technical constraints of our portfolio

    • Optimising and executing the bidding strategy

    • Processing the bidding results and configure the portfolio accordingly for service delivery

    • Monitoring the proper delivery with proactive risk management

    • Onboarding new assets smoothly, in collaboration with the delivery team

  • Development of customised solutions - 30%

    • In support of the sales and business development team, providing flexibility valuation studies and key differentiators in tailored offers to asset owners

    • In coordination with the research and development team, contributing to the evolution of our tools and processes

  • Operational performance reporting and administration - 20%

    • Reporting and communicating operational results to our customers and partners

    • Managing financial settlements between the network operator, asset owners and energy suppliers

    • Monitoring regulatory changes: participation in workshops and working groups of the network operator

Single source of truth

  • Je staat in voor de dagelijkse opvolging en monitoring van het deel van de investeringsportfolio dat aan jou is toegewezen om een volledig overzicht te hebben van de status, problemen, risico's en risicobeperkende acties.
  • Je bent eigenaar van de metadata die gelinkt zijn aan de programma's van het gedeelte van de portfolio dat aan jou werd toegewezen.Deze metadata bakenen de grenzen af van de portfolio waartoe het programma behoort.

Gatekeeper

  • Je gaat na en verzekert dat programma's aan de nodige voorwaarden voldoen om over te gaan naar een volgende fase in het stage-gateproces (resultaten, checklists enz.).
  • Je beslist of een programma klaar is om te verschijnen voor het comité dat beslist over de overgang naar de volgende fase.
  • Na de overgang naar de volgende fase houd je toezicht op en controleer je het goede verloop van de overgang van de programmafase in de IT-tools.Met deze controle garandeer je dat de metadata die betrekking hebben op de programma's op elk moment accuraat zijn.

Analyse en beoordeling van de portfolio

  • Je voert programmaoverstijgende analyses uit, brengt risico's en problemen op portfolioniveau aan het licht en volgt op of deze risico's en problemen doorheen de hele portfolio op de juiste manier en tijdig worden aangepakt.
  • Je bouwt reserves voor onvoorziene omstandigheden in de globale portfolio in.
  • Je werkt risicobeoordelingen van de portfolio uit en voert ze uit aan de hand van probabilistische simulaties van verschillende scenario's.

Portfolio-overzichten en rapportage
Je definieert de portfolio-overzichten en rapportageontwerpen om de verschillende stakeholders en besluitvormers naar behoren in te lichten (Investment Portfolio Committee, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, regulatoren, Development Plans, Business Plan, Infrastructure Management Team).

  • Be constantly informed about the market dynamics and trends and develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure a high market knowledge – develop knowledge on customers, markets, competitors and opportunities.
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction by delivering customer value.
  • Analyse the entire supply chain of your customer and listen to the voice of your customer in order to make an adequate account plan including timings, actions, objectives.
  • Keep the Sales funnel up-to-date and follow-up on the leads identified.
