As an Application Manager you are responsible for Demand Management, Project Delivery and the Application Architecture of one or more business domains.

Demand Management

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for one or more business domains.
  • Align IT-related business requirements with the specific goals of stakeholders.
  • Propose IT solutions to address business requirements.
  • Initiate change requests and projects in collaboration with external partners.
  • Set priorities for requests and projects with business analysts.
  • Manage the project portfolio and prepare annual budget proposals.
  • Evaluate and compare implementation proposals from various IT providers.

Project Delivery

  • Track the progress and budget of change requests and projects within your domain.
  • Play a hands-on role in managing change requests and projects.
  • Act as a liaison between internal customers and IT partners.
  • Oversee issue resolution efforts, ensuring coordination between business units and support partners.

Application Architecture

  • Manage the application landscape in your domain.
  • Propose simplification and optimization aligned with the IT strategy.
  • Develop and guide the application and integration roadmap for Logistics & Supply Chain.
  • Ensure data flows meet data protection, security standards, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with business process analysts to streamline business processes.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and evaluate opportunities for optimizing the application landscape

Our client is an international company headquartered in the Antwerpen region with over 30 years of experience at the international scale.They are looking for an IT Manager acting as a primary stakeholder in project coordination (applications and infrastructure) as well as technologies related to SAP within the company.

The IT Manager is a key stakeholder in project coordination concerning all IT-related matters within the company.This individual will collaborate with internal business stakeholders and external support partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.The role requires a business-focused expert who can advocate for user needs and take the necessary actions for planning and support.

Key responsibilities:

Business System Support:

  • Act as a super-user and system expert for SAP (ERP), specifically for the S4Hana and Coupa modules (with 80% of the projects being finance-related).
  • Understand the architecture and process flows of ERP, Process Control, and related manufacturing systems
  • Monitor system health and stability.
  • Troubleshoot and address system issues, outages, and functional needs, engaging support partners as needed
  • Support business users as a subject matter expert on existing and proposed system functionality
  • Act as program manager and project stakeholder for system upgrades and enhancements



End User Support:

  • Act as the first responder for user desktop issues (hardware and software), engaging the help desk and support partners as needed.
  • Facilitate requests for purchases.
  • Observe and anticipate user needs, and make appropriate recommendations for improvement.



Infrastructure, Process and Policy:

  • Assist users in understanding IT Policy, Process, and Systems.
  • Support business leadership in strategic planning and project oversight.
  • Coordinate site activities for upgrades and system maintenance.
  • Make recommendations for enhancements that will improve system function, capabilities, and stability.

Responsabilities

  • Manage and optimize the Credit department
  • Limit bad debt losses, maximize cash collection and reduce customer ageing
  • Manage the customer credit risk, credit limits and re-negotiate payment terms as required
  • Key member of the Credit Committee
  • Provide appropriate key indicators and reports for the Credit Committee and management
  • Develop an approach to credit risk assessment appropriate to the local environment
  • Support management in developing the business strategy and meeting the company goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with the Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant local accounting, tax and corporate laws
  • Manage third party relations as required (customers, collection agents, lawyers, credit rating agencies)
  • Optimize the communication, collaboration and flow of information with other departments
  • Is a Key SAP user and proposes system developments required to improve the work processes
  • Management of the Credit department team, task allocation, time and absence management
  • Coaching and development of each team member's competences in order to optimize their evolution in their function/ career
  • Recruitment and selection (in collaboration with Recruitment Department)

    • Calculation and supervision of bad debt provisions
    • Supervision of AR accounting related topics



Skills

  • Appropriate Finance diploma
  • Experience in Credit Management.
  • Sound knowledge of local legislation relating to credit management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Communication, organizational and listening skills
  • Ability to have a high level view and also focus on detail
  • Availability, thoroughness and honesty.
  • Ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine desire to excel in a Finance environment

  • Good operational level of English
  • PC literate Excel/Word/ Power.Point /Outlook.SAP knowledge is a plus.
